Architectural Design: Alterations

House Baijnath

House Baijnath Architectural Design

G3 Design was commissioned to design a major alteration for new clients that purchased this Sandton house. Concepts for the new home were completed and the building plans approved in record time to accommodate the strict timelines.

G3 Design assisted in the process to appoint a quality builder that could complete the project to high standards and within the desired budget.

The walls of the existing house were virtually entirely demolished to make way for the new modern double storey home.

The stand has a gentle slope and this was used to take advantage of the views over the Sandton skyline. The previously ordinary and modest home now boasts a state of the art design and the following accommodation:

This was the third project that we did with these clients and completely different in style from the previous. Our client were looking for a modern home with state of the art finishes and fittings.

The home is still in progress and we will update pictures through the build and finishing stages.

Mhlanzi Architectural Design

A dramatic change from a very ordinary single storey house the Mhlanzi’s purchased a few years ago. The brief, a striking modern home in a Contemporary South African Style.

A work in progress, to be completed by the end of the year, this will be a dramatic facelift that the Design team at G3 Design are exceedingly proud of. Bradley Woodward, G3 Principal says we strive to produce better design every time we put pen to paper. We never want to be limited by what may appear to be limited options – anything is possible!

The old house was nearly entirely demolished to make provision for new foundations and the imposing Façade that stands proudly on one of Roodepoort's main roads.

Hobkirk Architectural Design

Another home designed to rigorous Estate requirements. This contemporary styled home received much acclaim and was the cover page of a popular local architectural magazine.

Slope and an odd shaped stand did not stop the G3 Architectural Design team, characteristically accepting the challenge and beating the odds to realise a spectacular home that lives well from both interior and exterior.

House Middleton
